The Phasmatodea (sometimes called Phasmida) are an order of insects. The ordinal name is derived from the Ancient Greek phasma, meaning an apparition or phantom, and refers to the resemblance of many species to sticks or leaves. Their natural camouflage can make them extremely difficult to spot.

Shadow Play
Here we are exploring visual presence through shadows. We accomplished this through the use of projecting a simple blue background on the wall in the gallery space. We then stood in front of the projector to create shadows on the wall. This is our documented exploration!!
